April 30, after-workout

Hey guys.
I just finished Macaquinho's ab/core workout for the day.
Today's workout consisted of:
30 kick-outs, 20 supermans, 1 minute plank position, 50 leg raises and 50 side-to-sides.
Whenever I do the side-to-sides i hold a 5kg sand weight, so I end up pretty dead after it. However, it's a good workout.
I went on a bikeride earlier today, and I intend to go on another one in a bit.
After doing the apples thing, I've realized that it takes less food for me to feel satisfied. I'm also increasing my water ingestion.
I think it's healthy.
I'll be doing some cardio after hopefully.
Later!

Day 5.

I forget to do yesterday's workout.
Well, I didn't, I was just really tired.
However, I can use today's cardio to warm up for my ab workout.
The cardio was already posted. That's the one with the kick outs, squats, leg lifts, etc. The ab workout is more like side-to-sides, leg raises, cool stuff. I'll post the workouts after I'm done with them. Later!

day whatever. I think it's 4th.

And I think my mood has improved. I still feel like shit, but it's better than yesterday. Today's supposed to be abdominal workout. I haven't done any cardio today.
I just ate a slice of bread with ricotta cheese and a glass of milk for breakfast.
And a sample-sized cup of coffee.
I'll update this with today's workout after.
It's about 12:30. I got home about 15 minutes ago.
I just had some soup with rice in it. Home-cooked food isn't bad for any diet. Just make sure it's not really greasy. HOWEVER, consuming fat is still necessary. Otherwise your body will go like "oh noes" and will hold on to its fat. [Macaquinho]
The bike ride was good, buuuut my pants ripped.
By the shin. Just before I got home.
There's red hot chili peppers for that.

Wednesday night.

I really got no encouragement whatsoever. People only get encouragement to do things when they rub it all on everybody else's faces.
"LOOK GUYS I'M ON A DIET"
-WOW GOOD LUCK.
assholes.
It's why I'm doing this beforehand.
I did some deadlifts and lateral dumbell raises.
I'm off for a bikeride. I might see a buddy on the way.
Later.
I just finished my work out. Today, Macaquinho's workout was just cardio, so that's what I did.
20 dive bomber push-ups,
20 kick outs,
20 squats,
20 leg-lifts,
and 20 burpees. only one set.
I don't feel like it's enough. I'll probably do some dead-lifts or something else as well.
I still don't feel encouragement. I want to do stuff because I feel I can take more.
I can always do more. It's on.
I thought it would be nice to have some encouragement from Shinigami Ryuk, whom will kill for apples.

Photobucket

Ryuk, what the shit, you're ugly.

Day 3, ugh.

I have no motivation whatsoever.
The idea of this weight loss thing just came at the worst time possible. Or did the worst time possible came as soon as I had this idea. I don't even know.
Apples, god damn. I always try to have an apple near me when I write this.
I went out for a walk, made some vital phone calls, I looked for work again, and I forget to work out. I have to do my work out. That's the only way this might work in the end.
I wish I wasn't the only one doing this. Maybe I could find encouragement in somebody else going through what I'm doing. But the only encouragement I have is looking into a mirror and wonder about the results.
I'll go do my work out. Later

Day 3

Today I've eaten two little thingies made out of only flour and water, and I'm gonna eat my damn apple and a coffee for breakfast.
I'm about to do my cardio workout. Then I don't know how to deal with lunch since I've ran out of apples. I'll post after that. Or probably not, I got other things to deal with rather than this blog.
Later

Wow, work out.

It's 12:31 am. I guess this counts as the 3rd day.
I think feeling hungry really has an influence on my mood. But eh, whatever.
I've had apples, I had some soup thingy, and some pizza. However, I worked out twice today. I went out and tried to work out at a playground, so I think I evened out the pizza.
The idea of the apple thinger isn't so good. However, limiting my food intake to not such precarious levels isn't bad still.
I can still go for this. I'm sure I can.
I mean, what the hell, I don't feel sick, or tired, or dizzy. I just feel a bit hungry.
And when I work out or stuff, I stop feeling it. So, yeah, I don't think it's a bad thing.
I've also tried to have more water. I think I'm doing fine at it. Kind of clearing out my system.
I wonder what the end of this is gonna be like... =]

After workout

I's now 3:05ish.
I just finished the workout Macaquinho wrote down for me.
Today it's chest/upper muscles workout.
Consists of
20 wide push-ups and a super-set of lateral dumb bell raises, 1 minute break,
20 dips and a super-set of triceps extensions, another minute break,
and 8 handstand push-ups and a super-set of diamond push-ups.

That in 3 sets.
I attempted to keep short breaks between sets.
However, due to a severe lack of a dishwasher, I would simply do dishes during my break.
Dishes were done, my work out was done, and I feel great.
Somehow I feel a lot lighter, and it's just the second day.
I feel like breathing is a bit easier, for some reason.

Oh, I cheated for breakfast. I had an apple and a black coffee.
But still, I feel good.
It is on!

Day 2

Today I woke up with no encouragement to continue on apples. But since I got no serious physical activities to do today, might as well stick to it.
Last night was okay. I can't say I made up for not playing on Saturday, but I did what I could.
I got on the scale today. It seems there's a huge overnight weightloss, but probably from me not eating much. I did know I was gonna eat less as soon as I started eating only one thing.
Now that I'm doing this, I might as well try some other things on me to learn more about my body.
This is the second day. And it is on.

Unexpected roda.

Today there was a roda at C.M. Lua Branca's academy.
I didn't want to go to it. I had tons of things going on. However, I had to try and make up for my failure on Saturday.
I got an okay feedback on my aggressive game. But what the heck, the blog isn't about that.
I thought I could try to run on apples all day. However, I already failed at it, which leads me to the conclusion that I cannot run on apples for the entire day. I can, however, replace junk food for it.
I had a bowl of noodles before that class. And man, that was the best thing I could have done.
So, today, I had one major meal instead of 3, and apples.
Regardless, I felt lighter. I could do more. I could try more.
Like after any workout, I had my protein, and not exactly apples.
I think I learned today something important: I can't run on apples, and I need food.
That changes the idea of this. Not replacing food for apples, but rather replacing junk for apples.
And working out at home (easy workouts) on apples.
That way this may work.

Day 1. Started with the wrong foot.

Well, what's left of day one.
I woke up kinda lateish, but good for a mostly-unemployed guy my age.
I woke up, turned around and went back to sleep.
That's normal, right?
I woke up thinking of the apples.
How awesome it was gonna be after this is done and whatever!
However, my reasoning didn't get too far. I was supposed to live on apples and tea.
I had the encouragement, I had the goal set, the time was here, everything was ready, except I had no fucking apples.
No biggie! I could have tea until I went out and grabbed some apples.
I wasn't counting on the fact that the pomegranate tea I had was going to taste rather like toe-sweat.
But it's cool. I drank my toe sweat and went to grab some apples.
Today it's gonna be my serious attempt of working out.
I have a capoeira roda in toronto, and I plan to attend and hopefully play while running on apples and tea.
I'm already on my 3rd apple.
I hadn't realized how different parts of the apple taste different.
Guess it's like chicken, right?
And potentially, people, right?
Just checking.
K, i'm off to do laundry. I'll update this after.

How it all started

The original idea was to make this blog before I started through with this.
I didn't think I had the time, but I had planned to go nuts for one week.
Now, the plan is to last for as long as I can.
This blog is gonna be my journey though starvation and attempts to work out.
Apples, apples, apples.
I am currently 5'10ish, and I weigh about 105 kilos according to my inaccurate scale. According to somebody else's scale, a digital one, i'm at 226 pounds I myself feel like I'm 200 kilos. I got tons of muscle, but I want to feel it.
The plan:
To lower my food intake and eat apples like mad instead of whatever junk I would eat normally, while still getting the necessary nutrients for me to not pass out while working out.
Through this, I want to lower my weight to about 180ish pounds.
More or less. It would be nice to get leaner.

The goals:
New clothes, hopefully smaller sizes.
Making my game better.
Proving to myself that I can achieve whatever I want if I set my mind for it.
Showing my brother that if I can change, so can he.

The rewards:
Going to GAP. their largest sizes are 38s. Or even Walmart. And getting new clothes.
A shirtless bike ride.
And some other things. I'll think of them after.
Oh and and and
An ice cream cone and a fuzzy blanket.
